The
CD is now available after Sunday masses
and in the Blanchardstown
Oratory

Thanks
all who bought the CD since it was launched. So far we have
collected over €10,500, exceeding our original
target.
The CD will continue to be on sale in the Oratory at the Blanchardstown
Centre, in the hospice in Raheny and from members of the folk
group.
The
Laurel Lodge 11 o’clock folk group has been enhancing
the Sunday Liturgy
in Laurel Lodge parish for many years. In 2003, they sang a
live R.T.E Sunday
Mass. For authenticity, the songs on this disc were recorded
in our church rather
than in a studio. Their obvious enthusiasm, friendship and
faith shine through their
singing.
They
are ministers of the word through music and song. Few can remember
a
sermon but songs are retained and with them the gospel message.
The experience
of music can be life giving. They radiate belief, joy and happiness.
The songs you
will hear on this disc are rooted in the reality of life, as
it is, and as it can be, in the
Christian context.
Fr. Eugene Kennedy, Parish Priest.
CDs cost €10 each and are available in the church after
Sunday masses and in the Blanchardstown
Oratory. The
cost of producing the disc has been generously sponsored
by Symantec.
All proceeds to the Dublin 15 St Francis Hospice project. Please
support this worthwhile cause while also enjoying your favourite hymns from one
of our many
choirs
in
the parish.
