Collections at Sunday and Holy Day Masses

  • The First Collection - (after the Prayer of the Faithful) together with Christmas and Easter Pastoral Offerings (Dues) go into the Common Fund from which the clergy of the Diocese receive an income, and from which sick and retired priests are supported.
  • The Second Collection - (during the Offertory) is for the Central Diocesan Fund, SHARE, which helps parishes in developing areas. SHARE has been a great help to this parish. It has underwritten our loan and made subventions to the repayment of the parish debt until it was cleared.
