Covid-19 Update (March 2)

covid

Following the lifting of all remaining Covid-19 restrictions, we warmly welcome you all back to worship with us at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Laurel Lodge.  While mask wearing in public places is no longer mandatory, we encourage you to continue to wear masks at Mass to protect the most vulnerable. The guidance of our stewards will be, by and large, no longer required but we invite you to continue to sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the Church.  There will be a weekly deep clean of our Church.

Sunday Mass times will continue to be at 9.30/11.00/12.30 for the present. As we are not yet returning to physical money collections, we ask you to please continue to support our parish and clergy financially in other ways. There are a number of options available for doing this: the First and Second Collection envelopes available at back of Church, with your debit/credit card at the “Tap and Go” stations at the back of the Church, by setting up a standing order (please contact the Parish Office before setting up to ensure we are aware of your payment), or by donation through our parish website www.laurellodgeparish.ie

We sincerely thank all our volunteers for their crucial support in enabling the Parish to fulfil its mission during the last two difficult years.  A Mass of Thanks will shortly be organised for all those, who by stewarding and sanitising during the pandemic, ensured that Mass could be celebrated in public and that our church could remain open for private prayer. Thank you too for your patience and co-operation throughout.

Mass on the forthcoming Bank Holiday on Friday, 18th March, at 10am will be offered for the souls of all who died with Covid 19 on our island and in thanksgiving for the sacrifices and solidarity shown by so many during the pandemic.  All are welcome to attend.
