Choirs and Music Groups
Youth Choir
This group of enthusiastic young musicians have gone from strength to strength since they were established and have performed with other youth groups on numerous occasions.
Children's choir
Since its establishment many years ago, this group has helped to develop the singing talents of our youngest members, initially under the stewardship of Margaret Byrne and Eileen Brogan, and more recently directed by Sinead O'Donnell. They rehearse on a Saturday afternoon and enhance the 9:30 children's Mass on Sundays with their wonderful singing. They also enhance the liturgy at Christmas and Easter, and even appeared on RTE on Christmas Day 2012 when the masses were broadcast 'live' from our parish.
Laurel Lodge Folk Group
This group, under the direction of Martina Flanagan, have also gone from strength to strength over the years, appearing on broadcast masses both from the parish and from the RTE studios and also producing a number of CDs in aid of St Francis Hospice. They bring their own brand of music to the liturgy and sing at various masses throughout the year.
Cana
Cana are accomplished musicians, who sing at various masses throughout the year and also contribute to Holy Week, Easter and Christmas celebrations. They have also performed in many other settings and have produced a number of CDs. Click here for the Cana facebook page
Bealtaine
Directed by Rosalind O'Dowd, Bealtaine combine instruments and voices to enhance the liturgy at the 11:30 Mass and at other thimes throughout the year. They have also have appeared on RTE both from the parish and from the studio.
