This group of enthusiastic teenagers rehearse on Saturday afternoons and sing at the 6.30 vigil Mass immediately afterwards. They have gone from strength to strength in the few years since they were established and have performed with other teen groups on numerous occasions.
10 o'clock children's choir
Since its establishment many years ago, this group has helped to develop the singing talents of our youngest members, initially under the stewardship of Margaret Byrne and Eileen Brogan, and more recently directed by Sinead O'Donnell and Gerrardine Collins. They rehearse on a Saturday afternoon and enhance the 10 o'clock children's Mass on Sundays with their wonderful singing. They also enhance the liturgy at Christmas and Easter, and even appeared on RTE on Christmas Day 2012 when the masses were broadcast 'live' from our parish.
Laurel Lodge Folk Group
This group, under the direction of Martina Flanagan, have also gone from strength to strength over the years, appearing on broadcast masses both from the parish and from the RTE studios and also producing a number of CDs in aid of St Francis Hospice. They can be heard on Sundays at the 11 o'clock Mass and they bring their own brand of music to the liturgy.
Cana lead the music and hymns at the 12:15 Mass on certain weeks as they share the Liturgy with Bealtaine. They are all accomplished musicians, who also contribute to Holy Week, Easter and Christmas celebrations. They have also performed in many other settings and have produced a number of CDs.
